Wreckless 004 is a foray into space and sound. The focus of this project is the idea of reverberation and echo. Like a canyon spanning the limitless consciousness, alerts and beeps slide across the soundsphere as liquid lava cascading down the dance floor. Apples falling onto the face of the future, Newtons applied and removed, shuffling below the bassbins.

On this dubbed out interpretation of the the original, Minneapolis, USA techno scientist Dustin Zahn aims for hypnosis. Pulsating rhythms intermingled with pseudo-organic woodblocks recall an analysis of original elements. Revised, remixed, re-envisioned. Not content to stumble the mind, Zahn evokes this art from the dancefloor up, from the primal to the logical.

Beginning from the most modest of sounds, and building in a familiar fashion, bitch lays its foundation with analog drum patterns. Tablas and congas find their way into the soundscape, as analog synths drone and pan slowly into the forefront. The liquified lead line slides across the stereo field. Different elements are King Tubbied and Lee Perried throughout the duration of the dub.

Reflecting a possible universal truth, giving a nod to the analog. A solitary Doepfer A100 oscillator gets Moroderized on top of a shuffle groove. Vocal analysis permutated and offset by stuttering cymbals. File under “contemporary centaurian/space rock”.
