I've just changed to Firefox & I have to say I do find it much better than IE - I don't even know where to begin to tell you how much better.
I stayed loyal to IE mainly because of familiarity & also I liked the way it handles tabs, but when I was having some problems with a particular site & I tried FF, I found it twice as fast as IE for loading pages (especially those with lots of images). After a lot of testing with loads of different sites with both IE/FF - Theres no comparison, even text looks better!
I was happy with the performance side of FF but wasn't happy with the user interface & also some other things, so I went about customizing FF so it was similar to my IE settings & found that you can do a lot more - practically anything by way of customizing. For example, you can get a theme for FF that looks/behaves exactly like IE anyway. If you find something annoys you about how your browser behaves, or you want something to help you like a translator or flash downloader or M3U capture, you can just go find an extension for it.
Incase your interested in what kind of extensions there are:

Do yourselves a favour & get Firefox, IE is slow & boring. _________________ myspace.com/neljan |

Firefox FTW!
Seriously, Firefox is much more faster, secure and amazing... In my opinion it is anyway. _________________ Your my Devil, Your the only moonshine in my life. |

I have Vista and even IE 7 is still slow, where as Firefox is extremely fast and I've barly had any major issues with it as I have with IE7. _________________ Your my Devil, Your the only moonshine in my life. |

Well, i'm a web developer so I got them all installed on one machine or the other - Firefox, Netscape, Opera, Safari
Firefox is now the single largest used browser - but for me I prefer IE7 to em all - yeah it crashes every now and then but it's better than IE6
Official stats February 2008:
FireFox: 36.5%
IE6: 30.7%
IE7: 22.0%
Safari: 2.0%
IE5: 1.7%
Opera: 1.4%
Netscape: 1.1%
