Some proper, proper tunage from everyone! Took me a while to look for clips of those I didn't recognise, but it was worth it.

The Prodigy - No Good (Start The Dance)

Man what a tune, the Prodigy were doing it back then with a unique flavour 'Everybody is in the place' 'Charlie says' were amazing... ground breaking.

Gouryella - Gouryella

Goosebumps or what? I'm not really a trance man, but this is special. Didn't know the name of this but heard it/danced my arse of to it many times.

SmittyDJ wrote:
PPK - Resurection

All time classic, reached #3 in the UK charts - says it all.

Razhel wrote:
Fragma - Toca's Miracle

Something about that guitar rift that does it for me, lyrics/vocals a+

Veg1ta wrote:
Willian Orbit - Adagio For Strings

Another monster that opened my mind to trance, Wikipedia have a good page on Orbit (didn't know he was a Hackney boy!)

LFO - LFO
MANIX - FEEL REEL GOOD
JONNY L - HURT YOU SO
2 BAD MICE - BOMBSCARE (REMIX)
TOP BUZZ - LIVIN IN DARKNESS

Ahhh... those were the days... 'I can feel another rush coming on'. My era aswell mate, class.

Tricky Disco - Tricky Disco

Together - Hardcore Uproar

HAHA! Taken me back to my school days there, thank you. Hardcore uproar was the first ever CD I ever bought, I must have played it 20 times over.

Alison limerick - Where Love Lives

Absolute classic piano anthem, has everything. What a voice.

I'm gonna go away & have a little look back, make sure I don't miss anything, then post mine... **ck me, it's gonna be hard.

Indeed, what a tune. I don't know how to even begin to describe how much I love it.

It's one of those complete all rounders: melody, percussion, originality, ambient vocals, retro bassline, thumping bass... goes on & on...

And when that piano kicks in? C'MON!!!

Like everyone says, picking 10 is pretty harsh, but here's 10 for now, probably a different 10 in 10 minutes Confused

1: Frankie Knuckles - Tears (1989)
2: Alison Limerick - Where Love Lives (1990)
3: Joe Smooth - Promised Land (1987)
4: Patti Day - Right Before My Eyes (1988)
5: Denise Lopez - Dont You Wanna Be Mine (1990)
6: Chrissy Ward - Right And Exact (1995)
7: Hercules & Love Affair - Blind (Frankie Knuckles Remix) (2008)
8: Seduction (Youre My One And Only) True Love (1989)
9: Chanelle - One Man (1989)
10: Landlord I Like It (1989)

Damn, that took me 10 minutes and now i've change my mind ...

i'd just like to re-iterate the impossible task of just picking the 10 best......
at the moment, one of the most impressive tracks i've heard for a long time is Gaelle - Give It Back (Grant Nelson Remix) and Miguel Migs - Let Me Be... and Alfred Azzetto's Colors, all the re-edits too...i could go on and on

if u asked fo 10 ten most influential house music record labels that might be a good one???? -
soulfuric, purple music, defected, swing city, toolroom...etc

peace

I know what you're saying, believe it or not I spent a whole day deciding mine & I'll never be happy with leaving the other 2000 candidates out.

I went back in time to Chicago house, Electro, Hardcore/DnB, Trance, garage... but it was worth it just for the nostalgic journey (nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon).

I Found loads of decent sites aswell. I thought I'd check to see if I could find some tunes that I might have missed, like for instance I completely forgot about this little gem. Gutted I was Wall

You might like:

100 greatest House songs
100 greatest Trance songs

There's no music, but it gave me a couple of ideas.

I wouldnt agree with the Trance list and how come the later released vocal version of tracks are higher than the original versions lol

Chicane - Offshore the later released vocal version is higher than the GREAT original and the later released vocal version of Thrillseekers - Synasthesia is also higher than the main En Motion mix Confused

Like Mulder said on the X Files, Trust No One especially when it comes to quote on quote official Top !00's :signlol:
