Been asked if I would come out of retirement and DJ, but been some time since I negotiated a rate. Anyone have a sliding scale from a no-name DJ to a megastar top name DJ so I can guage what I'm worth per hour?? 
Oh and how long would you expect a set to be?

Welcome back, man. I haven't seen you around here in a while.
I guess a lot of it comes down to how much you think you are worth. A few other factors to consider would be...
-Size of event
-Length of set
-How far you need to travel (are travelling costs covered by promoter?) |

Agreed. I think coming from a classic respected old skool group id say you'd have very good negotiation power!

Yep shadow.system been very busy. Yep, tricky one cos on the one hand the Band name pulls big crowds every time but as a DJ I'm relatively unknown, saying that you'd get your money's worth with me as I put a lot of planning and effort in (not that you guys don't  )
Suppose I will have to wait to see what the club organisers reckon I'm worth 
Have been offered more and more dates but always turned then down until recently when I figured it might be a) fun and b) lucrative (athough saying that I always thought DJing was hard work for the dough)
I'll let you guys know if I'm local - be good to meet up. |
