I'm a little confused!!! i have messed about with production, on my m8s software but i really wana start tryin my hand at it alittle bit more seriously.

any ideas on what software to start with and still produce songs good enuf to play in an actual set???? Spot on

yeh if your starting out id get something a little user friendly. deffinently check out those links mate coz there guna be a great start. once you understand fully and want to go further with your production, take a look into more serious software like logic, motu or pro tools etc

cheers Spot on big help guys! im thinking of starting with Fruity loops i think and then hopefully if that pays off maybe move onto something a little more advanced!

My m8 has ableton live 6 which is awesome software but the price tag doesnt agree wiv me at the moment lol...im still at college n only work part time. i have used the ejay series but they dont have very good samples and i want sumthing better. im looking to use my laptop and will probaly run that through my amp n speakers that i use to mix so they shudnt b a problem.

Personally I use Cubase SX and Propellerheads Reason but I'd agree with Anthony and say Ableton Live is fantastic as its got a great learning curve and the tutorials that come with it ain't half bad.

i use Digital Performer... its in the Logic, pro tools leauge... not very user friendly unless you've done it for a while, expecially with motu
