I have just bought myself Technic 1201 mark 2s and I need a mixer to go with but i'm not clued up to what mixer would be good for me. If someone could help by suggesting a mixer or two I would be greatful.

The Mixer needs:

Crossfader and Levels
2 Channels (maybe 3)
Phono / Line switch
3 band EQ and Gain
Headphone crossfader
Panning (not essential)

Mixer doesn't need:

To be a scratch mixer (I mix mainly trance so not any intense scratching)
Microphone Input

Thankyou.

Ollie.

Hi, it all depends on how much your wanting to spend?

I've always liked Pioneer, brilliant mixers and fun to use Spot on

I'm looking to spend under the 200 mark, although can I ask, does the make of Mixer effect the sound quality produced?

Thank you.

Ok, yea basically the more you spend the higher quality you get obviously. Allen & Heath are brilliant if you want perfect sound quality among some others. I like Pioneer because of the built in effects which are good to work with.

Is the mixer just for bedroom use or are you going to be using it in clubs/bars/partys? It's worth paying more if so.

For £200 i would suggest:

1. http://www.decks.co.uk/products/mixers/vestax/vmc_185_xl

2. http://www.decks.co.uk/products/mixers/numark/dxm09

Both very good value for money and decent sound quality Spot on

Looking at Numark mixers, I think ill try getting a DXM06 as I only really use my decks for bedroom use an it looks like it has everything I would need. Do you think that the DXM06 has the same sound quality as the DXM09?

Thanks

I know the more money you spend the better the mixer but isnt it funny when we start of or if our mixers break and we have to use a small cheap one that when we do up a mix the mix still sounds good lol

i reckon i got ripped off to be honest… $1200 (~£560) and within 6 months one of my faders is already dead… thats not that cheap for a mixer either… for a lil more i cuda gotten a DJM-600 or a vestax or denon mixer

If you're after a mixer for £200 I have one of these for sale:

http://www.decks.co.uk/products/mixers/technics/shex1200

Boxed, hardly used, much better quality than anything else for that price - £200

If you're interested then pm me.
