I just went onto Beatport and had a listen to some Cascada just now.

Turns out that is exactly the type of stuff that I was mentioning before. ThumbsUp

Funky/Electro House is deffo doing things for me at the mo..

A change of scene is definatly needed for me, Bassline/4x4 has got soooo booooring (the new stuff anyway) Sad Never thought i'd say that to be honest but most of my best tracks of the year are Funky/Electro.

And Drum n Bass too Very Happy

Electro/Funky House has been dieing out in Brum since 2000, I mean Electro revived it back in 2005 and then the Grimey Electro/Jackin House that came out last year but I just think its a sinking ship in the scene down here now Sad.

Gotta say Bassline may be boring but theres ALOT of tracks doing well commercially at the moment tho.

What I meant was...the Cascada style stuff was what I was referring to earlier, and not necessarily Trance in general. Spot on

Which WAS what I would have considered Cascada. I will now classify it as "Euro Pop".

That's not the point I was making. To me, both Bassline House & 4x4, are getting worse. I cant think of many tracks from this year what make me want to go out and buy them. There has been quite a few obviously but not as many as there once were. A couple of years ago I used to go to my record shop every Thursday and buy vinyl and now I hardly buy any at all.

Well, I was trying to avoid expressing my opinions in such a vulgar manner, but "Euro Pop" does indeed suck donkey balls. Spot on

I wasn't relating your point earlier dude it was more a follow on from what I said earlier, but I don't have any bassline tracks that make me want to go out and buy them either lol

Now I thought that the whole "speed garage" thing had died off years ago.
