Oh jees. Hardcore gamer right here.
I used to be on a Halo 2 team that went to tournaments all over the U.S. Was on a mild Halo 3 team but Halo 3 lost most professionally competitive gamers interests over time.
Was also on a Battlefield 2 (PC) team that competed online. 8v8 most of the time with this one.
Played online tournaments in something called CAL.
Most of us moved on to play the BF2 xbox version which also had a CAL division we competed in. Lately we have been playing CoD4 and competing on Game Battles.
As of right now, and slightly due to my age (27), I am alittle bit out of the tournament scene and am playing Final Fantasy XI (online). Had an account on that for about 2 years now and am working on getting my Samurai 1337.

ye I know about CAL Anthony. Its the Amateur League version of the CPL back when I was playing isn't it sorta for the gamers like having the Minors and Senior squad sorta stuff. Atleast I think so when I was gaming.
I'm UK so all the competitions were different over here like i-series, WCG etc.

Yea pretty much. CAL, I think, was bigger than CPL though. It seemed that way more people participated in CAL and the competition was steaper. Even pros from Halo were competing in CAL's Halo league instead of CPL's Halo league. Not sure if the payout was as much but the competition was way more intense due to thousands more people participating.

Used to love it and play it every day - until COD4 came along, now it's just gathering dust in the corner... Seems so dated now.
Battlefield Bad Company looks pretty good though

Still not 100% about the decision but i hear if the X-Box is laid flat then you have no worrys of the Red Ring Of Death so i'm happy about that

thats awesome man… never had a decent steering wheel. had the one that was made for GT but it just sucked. it was alright coz the force feel made it fun for a bit but yeh

I love the PC and getting the Jet Fighter Sims myself, nothing better than buying a decent flightstick/joystick and pedals etc. and just afterburning it through the sky lol

Mate i was going to go for the PS3 deal with GT Prologe, that looks a very good racing game ...well for a demo lol BUT i'm gettin the X-Box Woo Hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
