Basicly in most cases Winamp is needed and the site is given an address from the place renting or selling the server and then you type that address into the Winamp address bar and bobs your uncle your good to go. Thats what i remember anyway and pretty sure its that easy...could be wrong though 
One thing the site shouldnt do is have a radio on all the time,theres way too many sites like that. If it was me i'd do what A-Jay does on Forsh and Steve RH does on Chorley and keep it to the one night or maybe 2. Would be good to keep it fresh and not bore the thing out.Also to not forget about the ones that cant make the night and have links for past recorded shows
Also we would have to come in all guns blazing and get big names in also for live mixes and recorded mixes just for the site.

on this other forum they have there own radio station and they use a direct broadcast from Virtual DJ. but can u imagine sitting in front of your computer for an hour or so mixing that way. gave me a headache wen i mixed 15mins with it

Agreed.
Some who run this site, should look into StickAm.com and create a station. Enter the site and scroll through the list, you'll probably fine 2 station of live dj sets, noon til night.
ie. Faderwave Radio
Just thought I would share that info, as there's no difficulty in setting up the station.
