I went to the web site for the artists this record company is looking to have remixed; group name is Cherry Bikini. Their lyrics a re very Lords of Acid but their music is just TERRIBLE! It's no wonder they need to be remixed! It sounds like they were using Rebirth, with very limited loop or something because it sounded awful. The lead singer isn't that great either. Soooooo
I'm gonna take a piece of caol and make it a diamond! LOL Even MY MUSIC is way better than what they've got going on now. Wish me luck! _________________ DJ Digital Gem (formerly DJGemini69) |

hey all,
i don't normally do this but after coming across this post i had to reply - i work for clear blue records, the company in question.
first of all: we never "look to have anyone remixed", djs come to us asking to do remixes - which is exactly what happened with djgemini. most djs and producers approach us with either love and/or respect for the artist they wish to remix - cherry bikini recently released a whole cd of remixes by such people.
i guess the lesson here is: "do some online research on the people who ask you to remix your songs"
peace to all ~rb~ |

Rob, I think maybe I came off a little harsh; my bad. Being a classically trained musician myself, I have great respect for the people that work so hard to make the music we listen to and enjoy today. I didn't spend nine years getting an education to sound like CRAP and I'm sure that Cherri Bikini wants to sound great too. All I was implying was that they need some help with the music. I guess criticism just isn't your forte. Unfortunately, the music industry is a very critical and judgemental place. Just look at Simon! Sorry if my remarks offended you and I hope that they make it big. _________________ DJ Digital Gem (formerly DJGemini69) |
