The Sanctuary Music Arena in Milton Keynes will be closing down very soon for the development of the new Wimbledon football stadium. Over the years the Sanctury has been a national landmark for ravers from all over the UK, catering over the years for hardcore, jungle, garage and D&B events. From Dreamscape to Jungle Fever to Sidewinder, the closing of the sanctury marks the end of an era in dance music. The accelerated culture event this Saturday 28th Feb maybe the last specialist accelerated culture drum and bass event at the Sanctuary, and all future events are now subject to cancellation. Ahh, shame. Bless the daytime go-cart range. By night it was a rave culture with all sorts of nutters caining it up to hardcore. I paid my visits a few times.

I had no notion the wimbledon stadium was being built on the Sanctuary grounds, or that the Sanctuary was even closing down... |
