Ok fair comment but the Str8 150's have now had 4 years rep withough 1 single report of one going wrong.

had a pair of Technics for over 13 years and never had any issues.

My reasons

1. Technics is Great brand

2. Top djs have been using them since i can remember.

3. Last forever, stable, reliable.

4. Im in love with mine - cant ever part with them Razz

Technics get my vote Smile

My replies

1. The Stanton Str8 150 turntable has one the turntable of the year award at Plaza 3 years in a row.

2. Many Dj's are now recognizing these turntables for the extra features, build and sheer quality plus they find technics are too basic and stunt creativity. Have a look at this link for the poll results at the top of the page:

http://www.djsource.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=588913#post588913

3. Not one report of a single fault with Str8 150 in 4 years. Technics moved their manyfacturing from line production to flat pack approximatly 6 years ago and when they did there were numerous of problems with the Mk3, now they've been taken completely out of production.

4. I'm in love with my 150's because the possibilities are endless with the extra features. I love to quetly mix a track in reverse over a breakdown and use echo at the same time for instance. Over trance if you get a screetch with delay on and change the speeds you can get 'whale' like transient sounds and for my scratching they virtually never skip. For instance you can't do this with Technics. Click on the link below, then click on media in the top right and finally click 'Fluteline'.
