Space will be holding an international DJ’s contest during summer 2007 in their virtual base in Second Life.
1. Any DJ, minimum age 18 years is welcome to enter the contest
2. Application is free of charge
3. 25 contestants will be chosen between the 10th and 20th June. Candidates will need to do the following:
a. Complete the application form on website: www.ibizatheisland.com
b. Supply a 30-minute session in MP3 format of free style music in Dance music category. Name of the session must correspond to applicant’s Identity Number or Passport Number.
c. Space Ibiza Dance will choose 25 finalists who will go on to the second phase. Finalists will be informed by email.
4. Contestants need to have a Second Life avatar with which they are totally familiar. Chosen contestants will be called to a meeting within Second Life.
5. Between the 1st July and 15th September, finalists will agree to hold a minimum of 6 sessions of 3 hours duration in the club Space Ibiza Dance in Second Life, and will supply an audio channel to that purpose plus a timetable of the sessions. Failure to participate in these sessions will mean immediate elimination from the contest.
6. Participants will be supplied, free of charge, with a personal blog and/or web page where they can record their experience, talk about their projects, comment on the sessions and include them in audio format if they wish.
7. Participants are obliged to supply music obtained by legal means or created by them. Space Ibiza Dance will not be responsible for the content of the music or for reproduction in public of any music supplied by a contesting DJ as his own work, which could be claimed to be owned by third parties.
8. Sessions will be recorded.
9. The winner will be awarded as a result of two conditions: The avatars present in the sessions will be able to vote in Second Life, and secondly, the sessions will be heard by a jury formed by professionals who will give their verdict.
10. Participants accept the rules and conditions of the contest, in addition to the jury’s verdict.
11. The winner’s prize will be:

a. Invitation for two persons for a week on Ibiza, to coincide with the closing of Space in Real Life.
b. Air travel for these two persons or 600 euros, to be decided by Space.
c. The winner will perform in the Closing of Space Ibiza, which will be on the 7th October 2007. |
