I need some help with this - How do I get an individual .wav file (track), or an entire session, on to Soundforge 5.0 from Cool Edit Pro 2.0, then back into Cool Edit, saving the changes to the file?

I am not completly sure how Cool Edit Pro stores files in a project. In some multitrack software it's saved as .wav files (with .wav extensions).

DJTheorpy touched on this method above - simply open Sound forge and browse for the .wav file you wanted in the raw audio track folder and double click. Most of the time multitrack software does not store the tracks as readily identifiable names, I usually export the track to a folder (giving it a name) and then import to sound forge, do my thing and then reimport it to the project..

Also, Does Cool Edit have the option/s to change its external Editor? I know it is a non midi multi track program with deep editing options but it may have an option to configure a external editor like wavelab or soundforge....
