| I don't listen to Soccer AM myself but my Dad who is a mad Chelsea fan mentioned something about Tim Lovejoy leaving Soccer AM when we was in the Pub last Saturday. - Im not sure what all the fuss is about but sounds like Tim Lovejoy has a huge following. |

He also does Something For The Weekend on BBC2 Sunday mornings, not a bad show but its Lovejoy that makes it worth watching... He also hosts Fifth Gear on Five.
Just cant see how Soccer AM can even do the Soccerette feature as he was good at that part also _________________ Back In Business! |

*Hi friends,
First of all thanks for all the messages. Blimey, I had no idea it would cause such a reaction. To answer a few questions Soccer am will continue, but I have no idea who's going to write it and produce it. I also have no idea who's going to present it with Helen.
I'm working on deals for shows at the moment and when they're signed i'll let you know what I'm doing, but it's going to be good, it always is.
I'm still doing Some thing for The weekend on Sunday mornings on BBC2 which i love doing. Guests this Sunday are Just Jack and Angellica Bell and this week Simon will be cooking food.
And for my other news
Smart Casuals First Record release!!!!! Wooo Hooo!!!
After months of threatening to actually put a record out, Smart - Casual are releasing 'Walking with a ghost' by Tegan and Sara next Monday June 11th. It will be released on a VERY limited (500 only)7" vinyl format via VITAL distribution in all good record shops and some rubbish ones as well.
If they don’t stock it then you can also download it from good old I Tunes as well as all the other usual Indie digital stores.
I'm co owner of this record label so it's pretty damn exciting. It's a cool tune, but like all products please only buy it if you like it.
Have a nice weekend and have an adventure.
Speak soon my friends.

Tim Lovejoy on Myspace...
*Right Friends I’ve been keeping quiet as I’ve taken some time to think and have a few White Russians. Great drink, I recommend it along with Whisky Sours.
I have received 1000’s of messages and even though I’ve not replied to them all I’ve read almost all of them. I’m flattered by the outrage at me leaving, but like you I need new challenges. We all need to try to further ourselves creatively and financially. Here’s a few answers to questions that have been asked recently.
1. I did not choose Some Thing For The Weekend over Soccer am. I love doing both. However I just turn up and present STFW whereas with Soccer am I worked my nuts off every day writing and producing it. If I carried on doing Soccer am I would not be able to develop my other ideas.
2. Yes, it was a really hard decision, but had to be made now as I was out of contract.
3. I have no idea who’s going to present Soccer am instead of me as I’ve left Sky. Clearly they’re not going to consult me.
4. My new projects look bloomin’ brilliant, but I don’t want to tell you yet as I don’t want to jinx them. I’m weird like that.
5. I love Helen, but I probably will not be watching it next season as it’s my baby and I’ll find it too hard. It would be like watching an ex girlfriend playing around with her new fella. Not that I’d know as I’ve been single for sooooo long. Ha Ha. Anyway, instead of watching I’m going to go for a run or have a lie in with a well earned hangover.
6. Those of you who question my loyalty are mad! I’ve done the show for over 10 years consistently putting my life and soul into it, developing new ideas to try and keep it fresh and I’ve even written 2 or 3 gags. I’ve often worked six or seven days a week and have only missed one show and that was when my brother died.
Thanks for all those who are supporting me.
Speak soon.

Tim's myspace post...
*What Tim did next.......
Dear Friends
I have four new projects. As you know the first one is presenting Radio 5's 606 on Wednesday evenings. I expect you lot to join in and phone in with interesting stuff about football.
Two of the other things I still can't tell you about as I'm scared of fate, but we've started shooting pilots of them and I have a good feeling.
And I'm pleased to announce the 4th one is writing and presenting the new Soccer USA show. Me and some of the boys from Soccer am (Fenners, Sheephead, Tramp, Neil, Dyson), are gearing ourselves up for 13 weeks of MLS (Major League Soccer).
We are going to educate you and ourselves, bringing you all the goals, showboats, funnies etc and of course David Beckham's diary from LA Galaxy.
It's called "David Beckham's Soccer USA" and will go out on Channel Five, 7:15pm from Wednesday 25th July.
You should see the clips we've been getting in, it's gonna be brilliant.

Also...
*Ha ha. Some of you sound like my granddad when I was a kid and wanted to watch Italian football. He used to moan and whinge, I think he even told me Jean Pierre Papin was rubbish once.
We have not chosen MLS over the Premiership. I've left Sky Sports to do some new projects and I'm made up we're doing Soccer USA.
Don't be scared of the MLS, it's different and the stuff we've seen so far is brilliant. Watch the show on the 25th and make your own minds up.
I'm going to make my Grandad watch it, he loves Italian football now.
Love
