|

| I'm writing a dnb track with around 5 concurrent drum patterns, a few synths and a bass - now my computer is 'cracking' (it pops and jitters, and mouse goes funny), and this proving annoying, debilitating further composition and mixing/eqing. I have 256mb ram, should I get more to stop the prob, or is there a way to get more power from the machine? I've got my sample rate set at 44100, and buffer size is maximum, should I change the 'latency compensation' to lower, or the sample rate, or upgrade more ram (is that even possible?)... I know that spending time exporting and minimizing would do well for the problem, however there's limited space on the hard disk, so oing this would create another problem... any ideas? |

| I suggest the frist thing to do is upgrade your ram to 1024mb ram at least. Let us know if this does the trick |

| I've got the ram now, everything seems to be smoother - I'll post the track onto soundclick when it's mixed up and finished... it's complex |
