I have 3 songs that I did and where I recorded it, they DIDNT master it.
I did these while in Chicago, Now I am back in Boston (Home). If anyone is in the Boston area and knows where or how I can get these mastered, Please share with me.

If anyone online has "Mastering" software and could do me the favor of Mastering my songs. I will include you as "MASTERING by" on my CD liner Notes.

Please email me: BCrayone@Yahoo.com

Thanx

If you know anyone with Virus PowerCore and a decent sequencer, this would be handy as PowerCore comes with Master X3. I've used it a couple of times with Logic and it's pretty good. I'm pretty sure that you can download a version of Master X5 on the TC Electronic website.

Hey Good luck with the new CD you just got out..

CD mastering is not as tricky as vinyl mastering since the CD can hold any kind of sound you throw at it.. with vinyl things are a bit different, you have to be careful with keeping the bass-band in mono and not have exessive transients in the treble-band. also keeping things in phase is important (especially in the lows) this is someting many producers dont think of, especially in these days of mixing inside our computer with heavy wacky soundfx applied..

For CD mastering the most important thing is just that you're happy with how it sound.. there are no physical limitations. then burn the CDR using disc-at-once or the pressing plant wont accept it as a master ;)

Waves make a good pack of DirectX/VST plugins that can be used for mastering inside your application of choice.

hope this helps a bit for your next project.

regards /Daniel

i also got uad-1 studio paq and powercore PCI including Master X3.

If you don't have uad-1 or powercore, you might want to check out ozone's izotope sofware-only VST mastering plugin!

ALSO, they also got a nice tutorial about mastering on their website, check it out !!!

And there is good literature, Bob Katz's "Mastering Audio" is a good tip imho !!

cheers,

franky sun.
