To make DJ mixes ?
Protools would have to be among the worst programs to do this.
(Disclaimer: I use protools for production, but I know it's limits/problems)
It will not help with DJ mixes, it's pretty much a roll of tape and any editing/ tempo changing / pitch shifting is really really slow.

are you wanting to just record out of a mixer?
(then use a wav editor like cool edit or soundforge or alike)

If you are wanting to make software mixes try ableton live, or traktor.

I know what you mean and where you're coming from ThumbsUp but the actual question was:

"id like to make some mix cd's is pro tools the best application to do this with!??!"

And the answer is no, 2 decks and a mixer is better than any application IMO. Spot on

You shouldn't be using ANY computer programmes to make mix CD's with, (unless it's serato, final scratch etc.) because there's no creativity in it. Thumbsdown
