duplicate the vocals, pan one copy hard left and the other hard right.
There is a nice EQ plugin where you can load in a CD track you are trying to get the sound of and it will apply the same EQ structure to your track, if I can find the name of it I will post it in this thread.
Another tip is to check the Sound on Sound website, they have tons of tips and tutorials for mixing, may be worth a look.
Cheers

There are 1,000 tricks you can do with your vocals. If you could post something, I could help.

Perfect. Answer.
It may not even need any flashy stuff. Perhaps just the basic sound of the Vocal (after EQ & Comp) is off. Or maybe even it's not the vocal, maybe it's *the music* that's not fitting it.
But regarding what's usually done to get the dance voc sound. Usually EQ (obviously), De-essing, good compression or limiting (Good here is key), and then time based FX like chorus/delay/reverb.
Here's a suggestion:
Create an FX Aux for the vocal, and stick a delay that is matched to tempo. Now slap a small amount of medium to short reverb on the delay. I hear this constantly. _________________ -K@LR |

Any audio recording and editing software will be of use. Suggests FlexiMusic Wave Editor . Play the tunes and record your voice in the software and using "Paste-Mix or Paste-Insert" command mix your voice with the tunes.
