Haven't used the 800 to be homest, but I've had a 600 for about 4 years now and I absolutely love it.

the djm800 is ridiculously overpriced for what they are.. theres only a few more effects in the 800 to the 600 but otherwise they seem the same. iv only seen them both at the shop so i cant realy say coz i havnt used either properly

Yea i was going to get the 800 but got the 600 because there isnt really much difference. The 700 looks really nice if anyone has seen it? dont know what differences are with that and the 800 but its pricey Shocked i would go for the 600 if your wanting a mixer mate, high quality, long lasting, good effects and not a silly price tag Spot on

Alright I've done some research on these different mixers. Basically if you want a solid mixer all of these are a bit unnecessary. But basically the difference between the 600 and the 800 is the 800 is newer has a few more effects and has MIDI capability. The best new feature of the 800 is the fact that you can change the key of the incoming track so your two will be harmonically mixed (If you know what you're doing). The 700 doesn't have the key changing feature but it allows the affects that you have to applied to different frequency ranges, so basically it runs your effects section through a band pass filter. I heard that since the 700 and 800 are their newer models that their effects/sound quality is slightly better, but I think this is rubbish. The 600 has been tried and tested in clubs all over the world and has been used by many of the top jocks, so its a good choice. Personally I want the 800 just because I can harmonically mix my records together. But keep in mind the 800 is their flagship model so they are going to charge you bit more for it. Either way I hope this helps.

I'm sure that the 800 is also a digital mixer and the 600 isn't?

Probably not but you have to admit the 800 would look great beside your decks dance

MIDI is like a form of usb for people who dont realy understand. it sends out MIDI messages to an interphase which translates it into audio when producing music. you can use MIDI to control external sequencers for example or in the DJ world, you can use it to control virtual decks (but usb seems to have become much more used).
so as for the 800 you can probably plug up a midi instrument (is: synth) and use the effects from the 800 while playing your synth through the 800

i hope that makes sence lol
