| Not used the Pioneer CDJ 800 yet myself. Although heard some good coments recently on some dj equipment review sites. Mostly to do with the features like fluorescent display and the fact it suports CD-R & CD-RW's. |

Good players but to sensitive for my touch. I was working for shop that was seling them and we have new pair of numark cdx and it is i big diference. Numark cdx has feling like technics mk2 and it has mp3 player but on mp3 isn't the same touch.
I would chose cdx. |

I have both a CDJ-800 and a Numark CDX. The reason I bought the CDX is it's much more realistic and capable for scratching. However, I would not recommend the CDX. True to Numark tradition, the unit is not reliable and functions erratically or not at all. I've had to send TWO back for warranty replacement and repair. The CDX looks good and has some enticing features, but it's a huge piece of crap IMO.
Now, the CDJ-800 is a fine piece of technology. It's not as solid feeling as the CDX, as it's not based on a turntable chassis, but the functions and reliability are 100%. It's basically a smaller version of the CDJ-1000 with most of the same functions. The pitch resolution and time stretching engines are excellent, as are the looping functions. I've used mine extensively and I love it. If you have any more specific questions I'd be happy to answer them. Cheers.
