Following on from their last release featuring tracks from Alison Marks and Soul Phonic, Punk´ID is back with another top double billing.

This time Munich´s Alec Chizhik & Markus Mehta team up for “Compass“ on the A side, a beautifully layererd tech house treat with gentle bongos and a bubbling bass line. While on the flip, Punk’ID residents Soul Phonic make a welcome return with "Down Breaks Avenue", a fusion of minimal breaks, lazy beats and spacey electronics.

01. Alec Chizhik & Markus Mehta - Compass
02. Soul Phonic - Down breaks avenue

The ‘Compass’ track is good. Thanks!

ALISON MARKS
DESSOUS / PUNK’ID REC / UK
It’s the A side for me – it’s not really my style and I doubt I will play it but there are some interesting aspects to the track.

Both tracks and very very cool! I like the percussion and the changes in the ‘Compass’ song. It’s a journey with a nice story! The Soul Phonic track is a very cool electro track - well done!

Favourite Track/ Mix: ‘Down Breaks Avenue’

a is becoming a regular fave.
Charting at no.9

Compass is my favorite.
The track has a warm atmospheric vibe which I like to play in my sets.
Nice variety in soundscapes to here.

Down breaks avenue is also nice done. Breaks but with a moody atmosphere, kind of hypnotic.
Perfect for late hour sets or radio play.

M8 MAGAZINE
'Compass' was quite good.
'Down Breaks Avenue' was OK.

UPDATE MAG
Good floaty, altered states techno wafter with hardcore riffage. Soul Phonic
is deep and resonant, straight to the hippo's bottom.
