Eat The Beat Music Presents;
OPEN HOUSE PROJECT
In association with Undergroundhouse.net
FRIDAY 24th June 2005
@
The Basement Club
(Underneath The Fat Cat Cafe Bar, Manchester)
After contemplating what we were going to do over the summer months, we @ Open House Project have decided to throw three special events over this period. All shall be held at the newly re-furbished Basement Club, underneath The Fat Cat Cafe Bar in Manchester.
Our first installment is on the 24th of June. For the launch of these three dates, we are pleased to welcome a Manchester debut from a very special guest Eddie 'Spettro' (spettromusic.com, so sound, tango). Ask any house purist and they shall tell you that Spettro is a must see DJ. With releases on Aroma, Crack & Speed, Aquaris, Brique Rouge, he has gained worldwide respect not only as a producer but as a DJ also.
In addition to this exciting debut we are also pleased to announce that Paul Hackett shall be joining our regular crowd pleaser Mike Murray as our new resident team. Expect nothing but jacked up grooves and quality house from this talented duo.
See you on the dancefloor!
Marc

Eddie's Biography
San Antonio, Texas -
"I knew I was home."
This was Eddie Scott's moment of eureka 10 years ago, when he landed inside a party grooving to house music. It was the first time he felt the house experience with a live dj playing records. Like a cureless, unwavering fever, it encompassed his being, and he's been in the groove ever since. It is a passion he spreads wherever he dj's and wherever his internationally popular, originally authored and produced tracks are played.
Eddie credits the motivation and inspiration gained through his experiences as an underground dj in San Antonio, a place where very few even know what house music is. Eddie affirms his role as a crowd shaking dj, but places emphasis on his role to educate and introduce people to the world of house music. Now a seasoned dj and accomplished producer, Spettro has brought his unique San Antonio house sound to international destinations worldwide and U.S. cities coast to coast. Simply put, when Spettro (Spettro translates "spectrum of light" from Italian) plays, his vibe and intense love for the music fuels the party.
Spettro's tracks extend beyond the realm of his travels, across the globe. No house dj is without one of his 25 records in their collection. Consistently bumping the dance floor and creating the thickest of delicious vibes, Spettro has authored tracks for such labels as Tango, Aroma, Brique Rouge, Big Chief, Amenti, So Sound, Doubledown, Primal, Heights and many more prominent names from around the world. His production has won endorsements by house music heavy weights such as Mark Farina, DJ Heather, Jay-J Hernandez, Chris Lum, Phil Weeks, DJ Sneak and Mazi, as well as many other fellow house aficionados. His tracks have also been licensed to mix CDs by global chart-toppers Miguel Migs, DJ Dan, DJ Heather, DJ Raoul (Swirl People) and Jim Masters.
Spettro's sound can be described as "the infector" of infectious house: an evening dancing to him is therapeutic enlightenment for the 'heads' and for the uneducated alike. A club-hopper himself, he dances behind the decks, moving with the audience and vibing into the next track he throws down ... illustrative of an aptitude for programming that rivals the world's best dj's.
Rocking 3 turntables like no other, such display of skill has become customary at his shows. Spettro's mixing style is smooth, but with dips and cuts along the way. Chunky and funky, deep and sexy, the tracks he plays and writes float, coast and carouse. His sets are composed of bumpin' beats, Balearic guitars, techy nonsense, occasional soulful vocals and everything else in between. Combine this with his unique energy to get the natural high that you want. And then, you want some more.
Look for Spettro under the monikor's "Green Thumb" (with Dwavehed) "Antoine Diego" (with Thomas Sahs), and "Ten Gallon Hats" (with Claude 9 and Chris Specht).
