im somewhat new to dj'ing and editing music on the pc.. I have a question that may seem stupid to you...
here is the problem i am experiencing.. in sony sound forge when I cut music from one mp3 track and past it into another mp3 track... sound forge tells me that "the source sample rate is higher than the destination sample rate. This will cause the source data to play slower and sound lower pitched in the diestination". It then tells me to use the resample function, while preserving pitch.
so what i need to know is... how do i past in new music without it tuning slow-motion on me... ? i want the pace to remain original.
i cant seem to get it!!!!!!!!!!
if u can help that would be much appreciated!
thank you and cheers,
Aleks |

you need to convert all the mp3's you want to paste together to the same bit rate and resolution right click on the file and look at the properties it should a figure followed by k/bs that's the bit rate and another figure thats followed by Khz or Hz that's the resolution. Ideally you would be better off converting to WAV format first. When you open up the mp3 does it open up as a sound wave on the screen if it does try save as and it should give you a few options, opt for WAV 44.1Hz, then once you've converted and saved them all you will be able to joiun them all together with out tempo loss or any warning messages. _________________ Life's too short - Be Free! - Be Happy! |

| ahh yes,,, you need to convert those files to 44.1 sample rate. Theres a number of ways to do it.. I'd recommend Cool Edit Pro. |
