Yes, we have been quiet for the past few months and it felt as if we needed a breather after an action packed series of top releases, from Sokolov EP via "Perestroika" culminating with highly acclaimed "Sure Shock" by NineLives The Cat. But believe you us it is all for a very good reason indeed.
Sokolov Sounds is now ready to proudly announce its new signing mr.elastik and the two part - super package “Justice” (yes we know! But this little gem has been made and named just before the mega famous Frenchies took over the world).
Bulgarian born House/Techno/Electro/Kwaitech... ..blah blah, producer/dj from Cape Town, mr.elastik is the more minimal inspired alter ego of fidget dude: the Bulgarian
mr.elastik is for the other side of his artistic expressions, anything from soft minimal compositions, to driving techno, to post minimal-fidget experimentalist electro-techno... either way he is the guy who just loves to see people shake it on the dancefloor.
“Justice”, the original mix, has been caned by the Klaxons! since the beginning of the year, from various dancefloors all the way to Annie Nightingale and Annie Mac shows.
Naturally, we at Sokolov HQ's have decided to add more of the icing on the cake by commissioning few of the top profile remixes, hence, a two part package.
Apart from the original, part one also sees NineLives The Cat on remix duty and boy does he deliver!
As for the part two, we have to exclusive remixes by Vlad Sokolov himself and the very man of the moment mowgli.....it is huge!

Nick Slater/Drummatic Twins - Original is solid and very playable but its all about the nine lives mix on this one, absolutely love it.
Dave/Aquasky - Started listening to the 9 lives rmx first - gets a nice subtle groove on. Bass line is a treat. Then what a break down / build up! Can’t wait to drop it.
Rene Amesz - The Mowgli remix is the one for me.... Mowgli turns this ep into a yummie one for me. Nice quirky stuff
