| What up everyone. I'm just starting out djing and I LOVE Trance(Cosmic Gate, Katana..the list goes on. Also enjoy tribal/progressive, its just rugged. I have 2 TT's and a dual CD deck and I was wondering if there are gonna be problems mixing them together. I know it all takes practice but as far as cueing and pitch will I be able to be successful. I want to do both becuase first of all there's just something about the crackle of a vinyl, but hten I have so mucxh music on CD's. Also, are the volumes and sound going to be totally different on the TT's and dual's enough to be noticeable when I one day record a mix. I appreciate any opinons and feedback and sure as hell appreciate this forum. |

| Hi, first of all it will be a bit more tricky starting out on cd decks than using vinyl. As for the volumes you mentioned that will not be a problem. Use the levels on your mixer to get the levels to what you want. You might have to adjust the sound on the songs using media player, itunes etc on your computer before burning onto cd's, then it will be easier to sort levels out on the mixer. |

I'm a newbie to this forum as well but have been djing for a couple years now. It was just roughly a little over a year ago I transitioned from vinyl to cds and I was sad to let it go but boy am I happy now because of all the money I'd save from buying records. I'm also a trance-head and shipping from the UK was not cheap.
Anyways, I did notice somewhat of volume spikes between mixing cds/vinyls so you do have to watch your volume meter on your mixer closely. Other than that if you know the basics like beat-matching, etc then you should be fine. |
