Some of you may know im in the process of making a guide on trance music after I was informed that I was quite knowlegable on the subject of trance music Shocked by TigerLand and BalistiK.

Anywho, I have made a start and just published it for the 1st time and I was wondering if all of you guys could check it out every now and then and tell me what you think, whether I have missed something out, where i have made a mistake...you know just general up keeping stuff.

I wont be publishing it everytime i make ammendments...only when there has been a major update...then i will let you all know here with a post somewhere along the lines of:

TRANCE GUIDE UPDATE NOW PUBLISHED!!!

Feel free to make any comments, but please bare in mind this is my guide so it will be slightly swining to one or two sub genres but on the whole I feel I will give a sound judgement on all aspects of Trance.

Thanks in advance ThumbsUp

hard house and hard trance is easily confused.
Lisa Lashes for example: majority of her tracks are hard house / hard dance (Depends what you want to call it)
BK however has more hard trance tunes IMO umm… its a hard juggle sometimes but to help you a bit, most TIDY TRACKS are hard house labeled. Lisa Lashes use to apear on TIDY but now she's on her own label LASHED TRACKS (90% sure about that lol) BK im sure has appearences on TIDY TRACKS also.
this is where people get confused between hard house and hard trance… there hard house sounding but have the melodic break down of hard trance
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnaYQ-CeRw4 (video quality is very poor but its the tune u wanna hear) this track is Red Snapper by K90

I think i have it now....i have that track. Hard Trance basically has the synth patterns that are associated with Trance while Hard House doesnt tend to ahve them and is harder again in sound...its more driving.

MAJOR UPDATE ON GUIDE......HARD TRANCE & DREAM TRANCE WRITTEN.....ALSO....MISLABELED TRACKS PAGE ADDED (IN PROGRESS)

Have a look and tell me what you think.

Note: all/most text is in draft stage at the moment (prehaps with Ibiza & Dutch being the exception).

BalistiK.....give me some honest feed back on Hard Trance....ts pretty poor at the moment i feel. Have you got some stuff i could add? Im going to do some research on it though.

Does anyone actualy use the phrase *Dutch Trance* Think

Beside Ibiza Trance you should add Club Trance, that covers your Above & Beyond,Smith & Pledger type stuff

Dutch Trance isnt used today really becasue it only had a short spell (1999-2003) in which it was active. The closest thing to it today is from some of AATW's artists that use those synthy long notes although even now they are begining to phase out from AATW.

Its not a term in reference to those who make it...but a term to describe the sound/style associated with it. The name may have come about due to people like Ferry Corsten, Tiesto, Armin cashing in on it as they are all form the Netherlands i think??? Think

As for "Club Trance" I think im going to put Above & beyond etc under some title like "Modern Epic" or something just because the trance from 1999 would ahve been "Club Trance" back then but isnt today and I cant really put it into Epic because it is totally different to For An Angel, better Off Alone fom back then.
