ok man this mite be better then what you stated.

Hard Trance originated in Germany in the early to mid 90's and is one of the earliest forms on Trance. It was one of the most common forms of Trance throughout the decade, characterized by strong kicks, with a very dry and heavy sound. Now it is much more rare compared to other forms of Trance and House music, but still has a close fanbase world wide. The Hard Trance sound varies from classic trance with its emphasis on harder, often acid sounds. The beat is very strong, and the lead synths or pads are simpler, but still retain their melodic, "trance-like" nature. The "hoover" sound, so named, due to its "vacuum-like" drone, (eg: Human Resources - Dominator) is used infrequently as of late, giving way to harsher lead melodies through synths or pads. Recently, a difference in production styles between the two stables of hard trance has developed, splitting the genre into what is commonly known as European hard trance, which can contain darker elements, and shares common production techniques with hardstyle such as the familiar off beat bassline and snappy snarerolls, which sets its roots in trance's heyday, with wide, epic synths and rolling, often "bubbling" basslines. Tempo varies from 140 to 145 beats per minute. Jones & Stephenson's track, "The First Rebirth" was one of the first hard trance tracks ever made, even though its bpm speed is actually that of hardcore music.

ask me anything about it man… hope this helps

yeh have a look at what i wrote about hard trance. that should be pritty good.

umm i used virtual dj and its good for very few things… havnt used mixmeister so not sure about it… ive tried to stay away from most VDJ programs. if your guna get into virtual mixing your probly better off looking into a controller first and then see the recomended program for it. some even come with mixing programs as part of the bundle.

Well it aint the end of the world....i have many years ahead of me! Just got under 4months to wait till the big 18. The night will probably go something like this: Smile dance   :z:

I think its time for people to let go of people like PVD, Armin, Tiesto, Ferry etc and let the new kids on the block have thier time. Plus i do kinda feel that the only reason the big names like PVD etc are so big is more to do with the fact they were the ones there when trance hit it big.

Dont be modest....thats a ton better than what i had Worship

This is obviously an area i know little about and you know a lot so do you want to write the Hard Trance section and I can credit you at the bottom??? I think what I said may be in reference to newer Hard Trance like form 2000 onwards??? Confused

Also....do you think I should write the genres more like what you just posted....kinda detailed in production and history.... i guess in a very neutral tone because some of the genres like Dream & Dutch im very bias against...or do you recon thats ok???

Today's Hard Trance developed slightly through the combination of Hard House and Trance. By the year 2000, Hard House had become a popular sound in the UK. At the time, most tracks featured old school samples influenced by Rave and Hardcore productions. During late 2000 / 2001, some Hard House DJ's and labels started to push into a more Trance influenced sound. At the same time, trance producers (sensing that Trance was becoming more commercial) started to push a harder, more minimal sound. These came together and by 2003, Hard Trance was one of the most exciting sounds in the scene.
