Latest addition to the studio is a Rhodes Mk1 73. Been after one of these for a while. The cost is racking up to around £1000 to modify & maintain.
I'll put pics up soon!

Yea mine was made in 76 (i discovered after pulling the whole thing apart). Such an organic sound. Check the stream a @ http://www.soundclick.com/bands/songInfo.cfm?bandID=365190&songID=2950201

A few of the hammers need ajusting as you will be able to tell, and the recording is a little distorted but it says all you need to know!

Tell me about it!

£480 for the Rhodes (with no legs or sustain)
£250 for legs, sustain, tine and a few logos

It looks like its gonna be another maybe 1 - 3 hundred to get it in top condition. A lot more than I thought. So really, it's £1000 keyboard. But for the sound...... Screw the money, its worth it man.

Havin all that equipment and being able to know how to use it all I find very inspiring !

Tell you what tho, that soundproofing material looks like just the ticket, can you make as much noise as you want and get away with it, even with other people in your own house ?

Love to know !

Cheers
