Hi, I've recently brought an Akai S3000XL sampler (yeah it's old but still cool) mainly to use with my electronic drum pads, but obviously I wanna use my own samples with it and as I'm a ProTools adict I'm used to software based sampling. I've spoken to a few people more experienced with the S3000XL and they said I need Akai's MESA software in order to prepare and convert my samples in to the correct format for the S3000XL.
I purchased the unit 2nd hand and no MESA CD was with it so I've tried downloading it from the Akai Pro website but when I try to run it it won't work, my Mac seems to think it is a Recycle file and tries to open it with recycle, but then a dialogue box appears reading:
"Couldn't load file "MESAII.INS"! - The file is in an unknown format or corrupt"
Please help, any ideas would be much appreciated.
