Hi Senrian,

How are you going about creating your vocals at the moment in fruity loops, what method are you using?

Don't you have a mic? I suppose you aren't too keen on if it's singing or speaking, since the fruity-vocal-whatever is just speaking.
Record what you want to say in a wave editor, or just use the windows sound recorder. (or mac, but I've got no clue), and then open that wav in fruity and add a vocoder to it. Should be quite easy, if that's what you meant.

Hi,
TgL I have been using fruity loops 4 studio for a while and recording has been my main problem. basically i record loops into a 3-6 minute song. the thing is, i just use my webcam mic to record it. so my question is, how do i just record it right there within FL? the full song. please help. thanks

I don't think you can. Get yourself a decent mic and record in Soundforge or such. Import it then to fruity and add a noise gate to it, so you can remove most of the background noises.

If you need it to fit with the rhythm and tempo, then render your track as wave with a 4/4 metronome in front of it; tick tick tick tick /music start.
And play it through HEADPHONES when recording your voice. (so the music doesn't get recorded with it)

Okay I got how to record vocals then apply effects to them. But is there any way to get the vocoder to manipulate vocals by having it recognize the microphone input? like realtime?

(edit)
I'm not trying to be like Cher.

I don't think it's possible in FL to record in realtime with a vocoder, but can add a vocoder afterwards. Just define the modulator and carrier signals Smile

defaintly get a proper mic and say it urself then us a vocaliser to change it to how u want it to sound -

it can take ages mesing with the settings but you will get good results, and you will get the right timing as you know how u want it to sound u just say it like that
