Made Event presents DJ Mag’s #1 DJ Armin Van Buuren, in an intimate gathering at Pacha NYC’s exclusive Pachita, with DJ Remy on Wednesday, May 7th for a special album release party.
Ultra Records and Armin van Buuren are pleased to announce the release of Imagine- his third artist to date. Imagine not only features the trance sounds that has earned Armin legions of fans, but it also contains the perfect mix of pop songs. The diverse group of vocalists on the album adds an international flavor with the first single “Going Wrong” featuring DJ Shah and Chris Jones.
"The idea behind Imagine was to produce an album that was dance floor oriented but could still be played in your living room or chilling on the beach,” states Armin. “It is back to the roots of early day trance and melodies, but produced in a 2008 sound, and is very much inspired by my visits to Ibiza and the Balearic sound. It took almost two years to produce the tracks because a lot of them started out as unplugged sessions in various studios around the world. It makes the sound of the album unique."
Every year during the Winter Music Conference in Miami dance fans have the possibility to vote in diverse genres, which artist/song/website etc. has been their favorite the year before. We are proud to announce that Armin van Buuren received two awards this year: The Best European DJ and his radio show, A State Of Trance has been voted "Best Radio Show." The international program pulls in over 6 million listeners a week.
2007 was a very prosperous year for Armin. The internationally celebrated DJ quickly rose to fame in the dance music arena over the last 6 years with the success of both his music career and his label & management company, Armada. As a result, he was crowned the #1 DJ in the world by the notorious DJ Mag poll in November. Born in Leiden, Holland, van Buuren sells out venues from Europe to Russia, the Middle East to the United States. Though passionate about music from an early age, he earned a law degree to back up his journey with music- quite an accomplishment for any artist.
Armin Van Buuren will also be returning with Made Event for the second year in a row to open-air venue McCarren Pool in Brooklyn for a special solo-DJ set and all-ages show on Saturday, July 5th. Advance tickets are now available for $40 from www.ticketweb.com while supplies last.
