| let's say ya wanna throw your own event. what kinda place would you be looking for? would you determine it on it's location? or a building that can a big capacity? or anything, let me know what you think. I personally wouldnt care about the capacity although it would be nice. I would like to hold an event at place where everybody could easily locate it but if it holds a big crowd, thats a bonus. and the price to rent it out would matter too. Let's say it was my very first event, I would hold it at a very small place with the rent maxing about $2000 and I would get my flyers ready 2 months prier to the event. but with where I am now. I'd say I'd be looking for a place that would be around $7500 a night and an entry fee of maybe $10 - $15 flat. A place that could hold about 1000 - 1250 people if larger, that'd be excellent. But thats just me though. what would you guys do? |

There's a place round the corner from me, its a football pitch with banks of grass on 3 sides and on the left side its all open to a park. Ive had many a dream thinking of djing there at nightime with other dj's with the decks in between the goal posts and people all over the place.
That would be free
To get a club up and running and have to deal with the costs and stuff that would be too much of a headache i reckon _________________ Back In Business! |

| yea I hear you guys. thats why I was talking about a budget too. Like I said, it would be nice to get a place that can hold around 1000 people. but the crowd will also be determined on how well your known in the area aswell. The more gigs you play, the better the demand will be. So I suggest "You better play your best or your going down like the rest." |

if this is your first shot and u want 1000 people, thats a really steep target. probly way better off starting small (around 300 or so) build up your reputation and then get bigger and bigger once u no you can fill 350-400+ people easily _________________ "Yeh, I'm a club head. | well I'm in Toronto so there are so many dj's but there are a select few that I would see live others are like bedroom dj's and should stay there but there are dj's who get gig's cus they only charge a low amount and those guys I would never pay my services too but they shouldve just stayed as a bedroom dj in my opinion. DJ Danny D is my fav Toronto dj... go to www.z1035.com and he plays live from monday to friday at 5 pm. hes an excellent dj in my opinion. so I'd say the talent here is ok but not fantastic. |

Although there is a slight problem with our thinking lol you cant carry your collection with you on your travels unless you knew for definete you could do partys in some guys home youv never met lol
I went to a fellas house the other night for a house party and i was just looking up the guys set up, Technics MK2's i think and a Stanton mixer. He shouts over in front of a good 50/60 people *Get away from those you know nothing about decks i dont want you breaking them*
I gave this idiot a look of (You what?) and then shouted to him*Here mate i could teach you a thing or 2 on your decks you d!ck* and then proceeded to wipe the floor with him and his decks in front of his mate
What a tosser _________________ Back In Business!
