“HYPNOTIZED 2005: A TRIBUTE TO DJ DIC†CD RELEASE
DJ DIC (Jay Touchet) began his life journey March 2, 1967. Born and raised in Jennings, Louisiana, DJ DIC began his DJ career at a young age. DJ DIC was a known DJ throughout the area and would later make his mark in other areas of South Louisiana. In the early 1990’s, DJ DIC started producing electronic dance music and in 1998 released the groundbreaking 12-inch record “Hypnotize†on Hoodwink Records. This record would go on to inspire other area dance music producers to release their own music. DJ DIC continued to DJ and produce electronic dance music until his untimely death in April 2004.
“Hypnotized 2005: A Tribute to DJ DIC†is a double disc CD that will be released in record stores across the United States on December 20, 2005. The tribute CD is a collection of some of DJ DIC’s finest work, with remixes by his closest friends and fellow producers. ALL of the proceeds from the CD will be donated to DJ DIC’s family. The CD will be available at Tunz Muzic, 133 James Comeaux Road, Lafayette, Louisiana 70508, online at http://www.tunzmuzic.com and other fine record stores across the United States.
