Hi, I think the best thing for you to do is to start looking at web sites and listening to the sound clips to find out what type of stuff you really like.

E.g. www.baserecords.com (house)
www.blackmarket.co.uk (house and DnB)
www.htfr.co.uk (for everything), just to name a few.

I hope this helps.

Check this site for an ever-changing collection of good mixes:

Also, check John Digweed out, he's the reigning champ in many opinions. Here's a chance to win the whole "Choice" line, including 9 double CD mixes from the likes of Louie Vega, Derrick Carter, Francois K, Jeff Mills, etc:

Hi

It depends on what kind of house you're into, but labels like Defected, Toolroom, Kinky Vinyl, King Street, Coco Machete, Subliminal, Stealth, Milk'n'2 Sugars and the brilliant Azuli should be a good place to start - if you check out some of the download stores and browse by genre you should be able to get a feel... www.djdownload.com have really good 2 minute samples, so you can get a really good idea before committing any money to the cause....

oh, OM Records and Soundheavenly are prtty good too...
