Numark's just arnt build the way they should be. with most their gear being made in the US, some of it shud be solid. My mixer was made in the states and one fader has already died after 6 months. technics are made in japan with the word "Quality" behind it. anything made in japan id trust. my denon dn-s1000 cd players are made in japan and ive had them for a yr almost and they seem to be alright… however i wanna get a pair of cdj1000's one day…

I'm actually getting the 400 next week, i like the idea of being able to use an mp3 player plugged in as well as cd's just for the odd track i can't get on vinyl. Still remaining faithful to vinyl though lol.

And i would do the same thing Aleksandra if the power went off. In fact maybe double sambuca shots Think dance

Man that is bad lol you don't expect that from ortofon Confused

I'm not sure what is happening with ortofon to be honest. My mate just bought some brand new pink concordes and the sound is all crackly on them he had to take them back. Loads of people have been complaining about some of thier new products, seems weird Confused

Well... I know you can just bump a needle on a record past any small skips or "accidental loops" and keep on trucking, but I haven't used CD players enough to know if you can just fast forward on the disk to bypass said fault.

Either way though it's a massive bummer.

:signlol:

Never had no problems with equipment except once ages ago in a bar and it was my fault

We were using a phone instead of headphones (remember that) and after I'd cued the first mix up I put the phone on top of the mixer as there wasnt much room and flicked the Phono/Line switch on the mixer so all the sound went off.

I didnt have a clue what I'd done, everyone stopped dancing and started booing/laughing/shouting

I would've normally been embarassed but I was trippin at the time so didn't care :signlol:
The record I was cueing up was Your Love by The Prodigy (told ya it was ages ago) so once my mate figured out what I'd done about 5 minutes later I put it straight on and everyone went mental and all was forgotten
