| Does anybody know of where i can get material for a sample. Im a real big fan of up beat, lively string quartets and orchestras (i heard music from other cultural backgrounds that I like as well),but dont know any composers or titles to look for. Can anyone help me??? |

Dude, you can rip anything you want from anywhere you want. As long as the ripped sample does not exceed 7 seconds you can use it as you wish. Take GOA or psychadelic trance for example. Alot of the tracks have short breakdowns with a short vocal sample. Of the tracks I have heard, about half of the samples are usually taken from a movie or something similar. Not one of them is over 7 seconds. You can reloop it to fill a measure but that doesnt make the sample 14 seconds long. Its still 7 seconds, it just plays twice.
So if you have a WAV format orchestra track that you really like, sample your favorite part(s).
