i know how to use automation clips in flstudio by right clicking and assigning the clip, but i cant seem to figure out how to manually link a re-set trancy style gate clip to the desired synth, i would of thought it is something like the same way u assign fx to an instrument, getting really frustrated cause the song im working on needs it, and cant find any tutorials on manually linking automation clips to gate synths..  |

there are two ways to do it:
you can:
go download the free gate vst from mgc audio(?)
or
add the mute effect,
open up the step editor,
make your own pattern on the chart thingy |
