Fresh out on Fortified are three massive slabs of tech-house goodness from Chris Harry. Chris is half of the Soulsmith duo (with Paul Soul) behind numerous releases on Reverbations and Wrong Recordings, as well as having been involved with the legendary Whoop Whoop parties, back when acid was acid and house was house.
Title track "I Will Remember" is a stompin' piece of acid-tech, taken to another level by Lucy Will's soulful vocals and Chris's fine ear for a melody. Agent Automatic are on remix duty, taking it a shade deeper and techier and adding an almost electro-clash feel to proceedings - but watch out for the killer bass guitar half way through. Electro-soul, anyone? Chris contributes two more pearlers - the graceful yet slightly melancholy lines of "Be-Bop" and the more cinematic "Frozen". These tracks are intricate, intelligent house music which will rock the best underground dancefloors everywhere.
