88 BIT | MIEKA DU FRANX
NUTOWNPROJECT || THE BUDDYSYSTEM || TYRONE LATRELLE

To The Core Original - 88Bit [Cologne, DE] comes correct a with punchy, chugging, thick-banded floor filler that takes a stab from every corner. With the progression of multi-layered chords, the Original drives with a zippy synth through a tight groove that shakes and glides. Mieka Du Franx lies in some crafty vocal stabs, working perfectly within the tune to complement the full vibe of "To The Core". 88Bit rose with a hit that many players could dig as a safe bet placed on a killer cut.
The Felinephonix Vox Reprise of To The Core delivers the vocal in the front of the mix, with more reverb and presence; this mix is for those who prefer more access to the vox.

[bside] Hot Shaka - reminds of the Paper Recording days, the essence of a
complete deep house love. Smooth and pleasant, the chords sit softly inside
the dreamy groove with an airy feel that sifts throughout into a "Hot Shakah" we can do nothing but love. 88Bit's mix turns and shakes from a gift that expresses nothing but good vibes- u gotta love it. Big ups for the tunes position at Beatport's top 100 deep house chart on the third day of the release.

To The Core - Nutownproject remix [BE] takes the core for a ride. With a stripped intro, the drop builds in slowly with hits of panned vox & drums, giving the feel of a steady wobble with a direct & steady flow. The chords drop into a nice lull vibe with some warm fuzzy distorted charming sprays. With the vox in pitch-bent motion, Nutownproject whirls around the elements to a proper build for a stop, drop and rolled out bassbin-cracker that tests your minimal bending abilities for those late night behaviors.

To The Core - The Buddysystem remix [Bay Shore, NY]bumps & thumps just the way Buddy does it best. With his pumping bass line and cranked up kick, he car jacks the bassbin and hits the red mark. The tightly knit acid develops slowly through the eerie lead with steady rockin Du Franx on the freaky vox lick. His tracky cut provides an analogue feel with more crunk in the trunk. All the more to pleasure for those with a preference for the needle on a record.

To The Core - Tyrone Latrelle's [Detroit] remix has a deep minimal dub vibe that runs with a little static on the vox hooks for a nu flip in a classic sound. The delicate arpeggiated chords drop over the lead that gives this mix a lot of atmosphere. The breakdown hits with a pitch bender for a full-blown Irie moment. He rolls out with a proper kick build and turns out the full groove to the end for a sound that fans of Underground Resistance can definitely appreciate.

-KINK (Felinephonix Music | Rush Hour) "This is quite interesting release by the newcommer 88Bit with the guest appearance of Mieka Du Franx! The spooky synth and the deep techno feel captured my ear from the first listening! in a time when most of the dance music out there is cooked from a recipe and without soul - this release stands outwith a warmness, which is missing in most of the nowadays stuff...all the mixes are good, but I like the original most"
-Onionz (Forensic | Toolroom Records) "Dope! Felinephonix is again doin it BIG!"
