| I've been spinnin for about two months now and have been told that i'm getting really good rapidly(i'm not a person that brags but, its true). I'm just wondering, do dj's use effects on every record or do they use them on a few. Like say you pulled an hour set, you probably ran through around 10-12 records, would you use them on them all.... or just the ons that are too plain. |

I usually only use effects on a few tunes depending on what tune it is. All DJ's are different tho. I would try to listen to your tunes over and over and try to find key points where you think effects would sound good. You can then experiment using different effects (by the mixer or EQ) to see what sounds best.
Basically it's up to you tho mate, if you think the effects sound good to you and other people stick with em! I've been told i over do it sometimes by using effects too much, i've learnt this can kill good tunes so be careful lol |
