Hi guys,
Ive started this post because im a total newbie using this software and i would want to ask.... i wanted to remix some music and i cant seem to load the mp3s in my PC into Cubase...
1. is there any other way to load audio in Cubase without streaming it to the audio/midi IN interface?
2. ive got a mother board with a built-in realtek alc888 with a port for audio input (CD In)... now i believe the first thing that i should do with Cubase is to configure the audio devices under midi devices... i tried to but nothing is listed under midi input...
Hope you guys could shed some light regarding this matter...
Thanks guys! |

What audio were you trying to load into cubase in the first place?
All i usually do is drag and drop the audio into the sequencer page, or go to file > import.
as far as your soundcard is concerned, i'd recommend going possibly for an external soundcard at some point
but anyway, what i advise for you to do is download ASIO4ALL drivers, so its going to reduce your latency.
built in soundcards tend to have high latency so if you have a midi controller and you press a key, with the existing soundcard drivers you would hear a very distinct delay.
then in cubase go to devices > device setup > Vst audio system and select the ASIO4ALL as your ASIO driver, and when you install ASIO4ALL it will have a control panel to set itself up with your soundcard!
what other equipment are you gonna be using? |
