| Hello there. I'm just starting and I recently bought some TT's that are Belt Driven. I always hear how belt drive sucks and to always get Direct-drive, but spinning Hip-hop and scratching is always in the same conversation as direct drive. So will I be alright (again just starting out) with my belt drives for mixing House/trance/electro..etc w/ no scratching involved?? |

Yea, using belt drives is not a disadvantage in any way. They are brilliant for starting out on because a lot of work has to be put in when mixing compared to direct drives. This means you will understand the concept of mixing more easily. When you come to upgrading to direct drives at some point e.g. Technics, it will be fairly easy for you to adjust as not as much effort is needed to mix perfectly on the Technics.
Hope that made sense, hard to explain lol |

| I started out using beltdrive decks. I found that If you can master beltdrives, then when you switch to direct drives mixing is easier. |
