LOL - thats the way the cookie crumbles with rinsed tunes.

I'll be honest and say I'm truly fed up of hearing the tune!

Aha, an intresting topic. Ok it sucks totally when tunes get rinsed, I agree. But I'm not going to complain if someone wants to make a bit of money. I dont disown artists for selling out. For example, Room 5 - Make Luv. This is of course Junior Jack, the house pioneer. Now that track was a complete rip off, as it is so close to the original yet missing most of the track (Oliver Cheatham - Get Down Saturday Night). But who cares, i didnt buy it.

Anyway, what Theory said about the 'Greedyness''. Think about this;

You produce, you want to get your stuff out there right? If you got a white label floating about and it started getting played you'd absolutelly love it wouldn't you?! Of course you would. Who wouldn't. Now if a big name DJ approached you and offered to play that track on Kiss, you would not even think about saying no. Before you know it you've earned a bit of money. No problems. Now, its from there that you choose to potray a certain image. For example; DJ Sammy, total cheesehead, but thats how he wants it. Junior Jack, quality producer that tried something commercial. See the difference?

Now with this babycakes thing. I'm not sure I know the track but it's not such a bad thing I can assure you. If the producer was just doing what they like, if everyone likes the track whats the problem? Surely thats a good thing! Now ok I understand it's annoying when you just bought it, but thats what makes a good DJ. Even so, if you could play that tune and somehow pull it off. Imagine that!?

Its all about balance. You only live once so you may as well try it all you know what i'm saying?

the bob james version is more like an old country sort of song - i d/l'ed it to make sure - it has no simalarities to 3 of a kind at all!!!

- i heard babycakes on kiss aswell i sent chris phillips an email sayin bout it, he replied with " haha you wont be able to get hold of it till august, when its released, best you try and record it on to tape!" so i replied - not a problem got it on CD, its been underground longer than you think, so haha to u!! so far he hasn't replied!!
