[sup]

i read somewhere that if this is a successful cinema release that the makers might be interested in doing a prequel to it. I'd like to see some action with Neeson and his gang in their spying days. Havent had a good spy film lately , james bond doesnt count - cuz daniel craig is ghey as bond

Even though you can clearly see its by the same makers of those Crank and Jet Lee type movies it was actualy very good as i hate those other movies with Statham in them like the Transporters but fck me Taken was very good.

I dont think it was big in America, never heard anything so me thinks this wont get a good release here either which is a shame.

Same goes for that Felon film, excellent film but i bet it goes straight to video cuz it didnt get much of a look in America wise Thumbsdown

I downloaded around 15 movies/documentaries over the last month that I still had to watch..

TigerLand , seeing as you mentioned your going to see The Strangers , I thought I'd give it a watch.. Twisted Evil

The other film I watched was a documentary - High Tech Soul - The Creation Of Techno Music which centres around the Detroit scene from around the early 80's to the 90's , featuring the pioneers of Techno - Derrick May , Kevin Saunderson and Juan Atkins..
It's a good insight into how Techno went from being underground to having commercial success throughout Europe..
I'd give it 10/10

I don't want to be a killjoy but have to say the strangers reminded me of the film Halloween with a few Nightmare On Elm Street moments thrown in for good measure.. It starts off well and got me hooked for about 25 minutes , and it has it's moments that will creep you out , like people suddenly appearing from nowhere and such like (with sound effects to match) , but once you get over a few of those it becomes predictable , and doesn't offer anything original..
Liv Tyler's knickers come off for a split second , but that's about as exciting as it got for me , and when the film started to lose my attention , I ended up switching off after about 80 minutes..

Rating this film , I'd say either 4 or 5 out of 10 , but that's without having seen the ending..

lol Doesnt sound too promising that.
Yeah i seen that its based on true events and its more reality based and not total horror so i might just might like it.There's something about those people in those masks that look creep :ninja:

I felt the "Based on true events" stuff was a bit off... Once the action starts it's your average horror flick.. Words written on the windows with lipstick , The axe coming through the front door , the hand appearing on the guys shoulder but there's nothing there when he turns round.. I'll say no more.. Twisted Evil

Films in general usually dissapoint me so I wouldn't read too much into my review..
There's is one thing about these types of films that has always bugged me though...

Whenever the bad guy has the good guy cornered , and has a gun/knife/weapon pointing to the good guy's head , the film should be over there and then , but you just know that ain't going to happen , and as a result they stretch the film out for another hour in a game of cat and mouse..

That's when I usually switch off the tv , and is the reason I never got into the james bond or die-hard films..

10 guys with machine guns , one guy with a pen... There should only be one winner..

if you guys get a chance , watch Death Race

another Statham movie , but good one. If you played the old playstation classic TWISTED METAL ull love this film. Its more or less just a reincarnation of the game - with a storyline.

The quality isnt there just yet but i see its already doing the rounds on the download sites, i'll wait a bit extra for a better copy but aye does look good that.

Statham was good in Snatch and Lock Stock but all this Transporter and Crank sh!t really is bad Wall Wall

By the way i watched Enemy Of The State earlier and fck me thats a great film, not as good as Bad Boys 2 but definetly one of Will Smiths best

no worries.. I've often given up on a film half way through to be told by others it was actually rather good..
The usual suspects and Leon are two that spring to mind , and I've never come round to the idea of trying to sit through either movie since then.. :ninja:

In the Strangers , as soon as his mate turned up at the house I knew he'd go inside and accidently get shot dead by the bloke.. That part was inevitable.. I switched off just after Liv Tyler's charachter ran away and wrecked her ankle with the axeman closing in..

Maybe I've got attention disorder because films rarely keep me hooked.. :signlol:
