|
|
Following the success of the UK Garage Winter Mix Competition, 2SG are proud to announce their Summer House Mix Competition.
We are looking for 45-minute mixes of any style of house music from any DJ, regardless of age, sex, experience etc. The only pre-requisite to enter is that you will have to register on the forum, as all communication will be through Personal Message.
Essentially the rules are as follows:
Mixes should be live – no post-production tweaking.
No multi-track mash-ups or pre-recorded mixes.
No personalised intros or dub-plates. Mixes will be judged anonymously, so we can’t have your name all over the mix!
You may include your own productions and exclusives provided they adhere to the above rules.
Mixes should last no longer than 45 minutes.
Mixes should be in .mp3, .rm or .wma format (preferably mp3) and should be uploaded to your personal site or a hosting service (e.g. yousendit) so that we can down load it. The link should be sent via personal message to preserve anonymity.
Deadline for mix submissions is Friday, 30th June, 2006.
The prize for the winning mix currently stands at £50 (over a pound a minute for ¾ hours work!), kindly donated by 2SG management, plus some very prominent web-hosting and the title and kudos of being 2SG Champion. We hope to be adding to the prizes as well. (Labels/Shops/Equipment Manufacturers etc – Please note that in return for goodies I can promise prominent placement of company logos in all advertising of the competition)
All that remains is to wish all entrants good luck. I can’t wait to receive the first entries as I just know the standard will be sky high.
