| getting a vocal to be in time with a song can cause artifacts in the vocal track due to the stretching. Have you considered matching the song to the vocal? |

Also take into consideration for example...a House vocal at pitch 33 has to be upped to the 45 pitch range to fit a Hardcore track, done that many times. For your average Hip Hop track intrumental has to be slowed down a bit for a Hardcore track to fit in beats wise.
You'll get there _________________ Back In Business! |

I would try to find out the tempo of the vocal first. This could be challenging. I would try and mix the vocal into a track where i know the tempo of that song. If you're not a DJ this isnt gonna help.
If you can find the tempo of the vocals I would then use time/compression expansion to stretch the vocals to match the tempo of your music.
If you stretch the vocals too much they wont sound natural so u need to be careful.
This mite not work too well. The best option really is to write ur music to the vocals so that the vocals can stay the same tempo and ur music changes speed accordingly. _________________ -Matt Reverie-

Hello mate,
Use the timewarp function in cubase, thats what its for. I would make a video tutorial on how to use it and point you to my site to see it but alas i cannot put web sites up here so until you find another way of contacting me, sorry.
