Last year I came to the conclusion that I needed a sound system and I didn't want something that was going to cut out every half an hour. I needed a powerful, expandable, reliable sound system that was rugged. Of course it also needed to be at a high quality in sound. I looked at all the obvious brands; JBL , Cerwin Vega , Mackie..... For a good setup I was looking at a few grand.

I found a company called Smart Sound Direct. The comapny with a difference. No middle man. If you want a product, you have to go to them. This cuts out an extra profit lobbed on top. So, for £1000 I got the following:

2X Live Performance 115 (550w RMS/1100 Prog) (Freq 40Hz - 18kHz)
1X STX 1600 Power Amplifier (2X 650W RMS)
2X Tripod Stands
All Cables

This package is amazing. You can absolutelly rock a room of 350 people easily. With the added sub woofer/s LP8's (650W RMS, 18") the STX 1600 is driven to the max and you can handle a further 150 people with no problems. The speakers are versitile and are good for live band use as well as pumping dance music. So, if your looking to buy a good P.A kit check out Smart Sound Direct and browse through certain packages. All product specs indicate which amp suits which speaker's, the website is easy to use and I'm sure you'll find something that suits you.
